Since opening our doors in 2014 we've launched 11 developments which added 246 homes to Cape Town's City Bowl and Atlantic Seaboard for approximately 450 urbanites and their families.
These developments have helped create over 5 000 local employment opportunities in the process. Over the past year we've launched a new development, EIGHTONN in Sea Point, broken ground at FORTY ON L in Bo-Kaap, completed NINEONS in Green Point as well as TWO16ONHL in Sea Point, and are just months away from handovers at TENONQ in Sea Point, our biggest development to date.
During this time we have become more water conscious and implemented various water-saving innovations that our homeowners and planet can be proud of such as rainwater harvesting, boreholes, and the acquisition of our own desalination plant which all saves the city's dams over 10 000 litres a day.
As part of our ongoing strategy to invest in the communities in which we develop, we have launched four Urban Interventions over the years that, among others, have led to the restoration of Thornhill Park and the installation of a Parklet on Regent Road which this year moved to the V and A Waterfront. We also developed a bicycle parking design concept, Blade, and sponsored a safety patrol Segway, affectionately known as RoboBlok, along the Sea Point Promenade.
We believe that cutting edge, local design should be accessible to everyone and through our Konnect Design Network have given a dozen local designers a new platform and launched over 45 products that have brought our love for design into numerous lives and homes.
