A. Development Aestehtic Conceptualisation 

  • Assist visually the in development conceptualisation process, including the creation of moodboards for each project to be presented to senior projects team
  • Palette conceptualisation and look and feel for each development
  • Design feature, customisation elements and joinery for each development including modelling of elements 
  • Consideration of lobby and communal areas including signage
  • Selection of specs and assisting in compiling a spec sheet for interior elements and Blok aesthetic
  • Tying in the architectural and spatial flow with the aesthetics and development concept

B. Marketing

  • Styling renders and Blok virtual app to ensure consistency between selected aesthetic, development spec and visuals for Sales/Marketing
  • Assisting Marketing with any visual or written content for sales collateral (magazine / app)
  • Ensuring product and specs selected are feasible and within budget and not just a marketing representation
C. Procurement, Sourcing and Specifications
  • Selection of fixtures and fittings in accordance with the development look and feel, spec sheet and budget
  • Sourcing new specs, materials etc in keeping with trends
  • Getting specifications samples to the projects team for approval
  • Selecting final spec with the development and budget team in order to ensure all specifications and products fit within the approved project budget and timelines

D. Project Management for Interior Design and Architecture

  • Assisting in detailing of interior design elements and features within the agreed budget and aesthetic
  • Coordination of all interior features with the architects and construction team and ensuring all site drawings are correct and according to the finalised design
  • Regular site visits to ensure designed interior features are executed to the Blok standard
  • Concept, design and detailing of building signage
  • Managing signage and installation, including approval of quotes, logistical coordination with site team and final installation oversite
  • Any ad-hoc aesthetic decisions (within budget) as and when materialise
  • General snag and evaluation of Blok detailing per project, including all communal area items 

E. Blok Exhibition Space

  • Reviewing and styling the interiors on an ongoing basis
  • Assisting with styling for launches and events

F. Other

  • General ad hoc duties as the company sees fit


  • Minimum 2 years industry experience
  • Sketch Up and Revit proficiency favourable
  • Experience working with budgets and suppliers
  • Positive and professional attitude and appearance
  • Demonstrate ability to conceptualise and follow through
  • Demonstrate good time management and teamwork
  • The ability to manage stressful deadlines across different moving projects 


  • R 13 000 – R 18 000 per month CTC (experience dependent)
